In 1974, Pastor Ron Reynolds and a group of 22 people through

faith and God's leading founded Bible Haven Baptist Church. 

The church would later be re-named Mt. Vernon Baptist

Temple.  Mt. Vernon Baptist Temple and Mt. Vernon Christian

School are located on 5 beautiful acres one mile North of Exit

80 off of Interstate 64.  Today, Dr. Ron Reynolds and his son,

Tim Reynolds serve as co-pastors of the church.  Mt. Vernon

Baptist Temple is involved in several ministries, including

Mt. Vernon Christian School (Kindergarten-High School),

Bus Ministry, Nursery Minsistry, Sunday School Ministry,

Children's Church Ministry, King's Kids Club Ministry, 

Music Ministry and Jail Ministry.
